What is RIM?
Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) is a unique molding method where two chemicals are mixed immediately before injection into a mold. Therefore, the exothermic reaction takes place in the mold as the chemical bonds form polyurethane. In a few minutes it hardens, heat exchangers help cool the mold, and out comes a part.
